COMPUTER SYLLABUS
Course Description: In computers we will learn to use the keyboard, about
all Microsoft Office products, Photoshop, InDesign,
and much more.

1. Keyboarding (1 week)

3. Excell (2 weeks)
4. Access (1 week)
5. Publisher (2 weeks)
6. Powerpoint (2 weeks)
6. Photoshop (2 weeks)
7. InDesign (3 weeks)
8. Other (3 weeks)
Grading Scale:
90-100 A
80-90 B
70-80 C
60-70 D
59-0 F
Grade Weighting:
Computer Lab Rules
1. No food, gum, candy, or drinks.
2. No access to personal e-mail, chat rooms, or other inappropriate internet sites.
3. No screen savers, wall paper, changing desk top background, or access to control panel.
4. No downloads of games or software.
5. No printing without teacher permission.
Student Expectations: RESPECT
Teacher—Listen and follow directions
Students—Treat others how you would like to be treated. Do not get into other’s belongings.
Equipment—Take care of equipment like you would your personal belongings.
Come to learn. Be respectful and courteous to others. No one has the right to interfere with another student’s education.
Procedures: Be in seat ready to work when bell rings.
No hats, backpacks or coats in class.
Teacher dismisses class.
Bring reading and agenda book everyday.
One pass out of class per quarter.
Three refocuses—lunch detention
Three tardies—lunch detention
Make-up Policy: Two days to make-up work for everyday absent.
Teacher Availability: Any day after school for extra help. Make an appointment.
