Parents or Guardians:
Sandpoint High School staff and students will be kicking off the
2005/2006 school year with a new block schedule.
8-credit schedule will "open up" student schedules, allowing them to
take more elective and core classes.
with this transition comes the maintenance of a more complex master schedule.
As a result, class changes will be difficult to accommodate because class
sizes are at full capacity. The administrators of Sandpoint High School regret
to inform you that we are no longer able to honor special requests for teacher
preferences and class changes.
and individual student schedules have been randomly selected by a student
management computer application called SchoolMaster. The scheduling function
of this application is programmed to recommend placement of course sections
and to balance class size – an enormous feat if done by hand. Although this
process may seem impersonal to some, it is without doubt the most effective,
the most efficient, and the most equitable way to accomplish this task.
will be available for Seniors and Juniors to pick up on Monday, August 22nd
during regular office hours.
and Freshmen may pick up their schedules on Tuesday, August 23rd
