This is my fifth year teaching speech at Sandpoint High School and, as cliche' as it may sound, I do LOVE my job.  I find that teaching speech is very rewarding because I get to hear student talk about themselves on topics they are passionate about and this course gives every student skills they will use in every day life. 

Prior to teaching at SHS I taught special education at Southside Elementary for three years and taugth health education in Las Vegas for one year.  Although the experience I gained in Las Vegas was invaluable, I was eager to get back to my home in North Idaho to teach.

I graduated from Eastern Washington University with a BAEd;  majoring in Health Education and a minor in Communication.  I continued my education at University of Idaho with a Major in Special Education.

I recently gave birth (November, 2004) to a beautiful baby girl.  You will see some of Margo's pictures scattered throughout this web site. Enjoy!
