Each of you will be going outside to find photos for the assignment below.  Take as many photos as you need to for practice.  You are not to take any of your photos inside the building, interrupt, or disrupt any other classes.

Review lock down procedures/fire drill procedures

Homecoming/Spirit Pictures need to be in your network folders by the end of the day today. 

Create a 10 column layout for your pictures.  Label which picture will go into each picture box. 

Caption Writing: 

  1. Captions must be two sentences. 
  2. The first sentence must be present tense. 
  3. Don't state the obvious.
  4. Include the "who," "what," "where," "when," "why," and "how."
  5. The second sentence is in past tense and gives some additional information about the subject. 

 

On a separate sheet of paper, write captions for each of your photos.

"On Assignment"  Over a 24 hour period, record the world through your eyes.  Be creative with your photo composition, yet remember the rules to follow.  Your photos should tell a story not just static photos.  You are to carry your camera with you over an entire 24 hour period.  Record every waking aspect of that time.  Make sure you have your batteries charged up and your memory card ready.  You will turn in to your network folder 16 of your best photos that represent that time period.  You should take many more than 16, but you are to narrow down to the BEST 16 shots.  Then, in Photoshop, you are to create and print a contact sheet (4 X 4)to turn in.  Be sure photos are labeled clearly. 

Plan due to turn in to me by the end of the period today.

Photos to be on the network and contact sheet printed and turned in by the end of the class period Friday, Dec. 12.  No excuses!  Plan appropriately.

Part of final is to turn in 2 of best photos from the semester in black and white on photo paper printed from the classroom.
