There are many, many organizations that can use volunteers.  According to the Directory of Voluntary Organizations in the Sandpoint Area prepared by Jim Payne, there are approximately 142 voluntary organizations.  NHS has a copy of this directory, and the public library does as well.  To help narrow some of your choices here are a few suggestions:
